Light Beyond Loss

Light beyond Loss is dedicated to my beloved son Nicholas DePaola jr. who graced this world with his loving, funny, and kind nature for only sixteen years. His memory lives on in our hearts and continues to touch others through this non profit organization.

Our ultimate goal is to build a center for all types of grief, but along the way we intend to continue with retreats, workshops and any other venues that we feel will help people in the community suffering from grief.

- Diane Dyer

The idea for "Light Beyond Loss"
came from my experiences as a grieving parent and the lack of support through the process. Hour long counseling sessions and impersonal support groups didn't work for me. I needed a place where others, experiencing a similar loss, could come together for an extended period. The first retreat we put together facilitated healing in many ways. We cried, talked, laughed, shared our individual losses and moved farther along in the healing process together.
